Congratulations! You’ve mastered week 1 of the 21-day challenge. In the first 7 videos, we were focusing on sugar, what it does to your body and how you can reduce your sugar intake. Did you notice any difference? How are you feeling about sugar right now?
Welcome back to week 2! In the following videos, we will talk about gluten and its effects on the body. Let’s dive right in!
Day 8: Gluten is almost everywhere
Gluten is almost everywhere: grains such as wheat (including bulgur, semolina, spelt, durum farro), rye, barley, oats, salad dressings, marinates, canned food, fast food, pasta sauces, pasta and all its varieties, mayonnaise, ketchup, soy sauce, and the list goes on and on. It is important to look at ingredients when you do your grocery shopping.

Day 9: When you eat bread – you eat a ‘yoga mat’
Dr Gundry in his best-selling book ‘The Plant Paradox’ states, that white flour has azodicarbonamide acting as a foaming agent. This element is a hormonal disruptor and can be also found in yoga mats, synthetic leather products, carpets underlayment, as well as in fast food. It is used to bleach flour and condition dough (DOU). Exposure to this element provokes allergies and asthma, suppress immune system especially when it is heated or baked.
Day 10: ‘Gluten-free’? It is more dangerous than you think!
Steven Gundry in his book The Plant Paradox explains why products marked as “Gluten Free” are also an unhealthy choice for a daily snack, because most of the “Gluten Free” baked products are treated with transglutaminase to make them fluffier and more appealing. Transglutaminase can pass the blood-brain barrier and cause Parkinson’s disease. Watch the video on day 10 to find out more, or even better, read the book!
Day 11: Don’t eat when your emotional needs are not met
The current situation in 2020 – quarantine and self-isolation – gives you a lot of time and even if you’re busy during the day in your home office, you don’t feel the same way. Thus, emotional emptiness is created. In moments like this, the first thing our mind does is filling up the emptiness. Considering that we find comfort in food, we are inclined to eat more in order to feel better. Watch the day 11 video to break this cycle and learn how to avoid comfort food!
Day 12: Gaining a healthy attitude towards food
Imagine, you are at a party where you see a table full of cookies, crisps, chocolate bars, jelly beans and other nasty snacks. Without a second’s hesitation you pass by the table and never look back, simply because you found nothing appealing to your taste buds. This is the result you will get if you accomplish this challenge by listening uninterruptedly to every single recording for 21 days. Day 13: Multiple Sclerosis? We have the answer!
In this wonderful book called The Wahls Protocol by Terry Wahls, a clinical professor of medicine at the university of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, you’ll find out about the Wahls diet for autoimmune disorders. Dr Wahls was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when she was in her mid 40s and was 100% dependent on a wheel chair. Now Dr Wahls has fully recovered and speaks on TED talks about how she turned her life around by changing her diet. Guess what that diet excluded? Correct: Sugar, Gluten and Lactose.
Day 14: You are wonderful!
Don’t forget to praise yourself along the way, because you deserve it! It is a crucial part of the challenge to carry on praising yourself for every little achievement. If you experience resistance and find every excuse not to listen to the next recording, that means the information is on its way to your subconscious, the old way of thinking is being eliminated, eradicated, erased, and the new habit is being accepted, absorbed and sealed deeply into your subconscious mind.
